Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the winds which carry dust particles, 1 and the burden-bearers 2 Then by oath of those which move with ease. 3 And those [angels] apportioning [each] matter, 4 Verily the promise made to you is true: 5 the Judgement will surely come to pass -- 6 By the Sky with (its) numerous Paths, 7 your ideas are confused. 8 Let whoever wishes, turn away from Our Quran. 9 Destroyed are the falsifiers 10 who are steeped in ignorance and heedlessness. 11 They ask: When is the Day of Judgment? 12 The day they will be burnt in the Fire, 13 'Taste your trial! This is that you were seeking to hasten.' 14 Surely those who fear God and follow the straight path will be amidst gardens and fresh springs of water, 15 Taking that which their Lord giveth them; for lo! aforetime they were doers of good; 16 they used to sleep but little by night, 17 And ere the dawning of each day would seek forgiveness, 18 And in their properties there was the right of the beggar, and the Mahrum (the poor who does not ask the others). 19 On the earth, and in yourselves, 20 And in yourselves. Then will you not see? 21 And in heaven is your provision and also what you are being promised. 22 So by oath of the Lord of the heavens and the earth, this Qur’an is the Truth, in the same language that you speak. 23
