(O Prophet), did you see him who turned away (from the Path of Allah), 33 and gives a little, grudgingly? 34 Does he [claim to] have knowledge of something that is beyond the reach of human perception, so that he can see [it clearly]? 35 Or has he not been informed of what was in the scriptures of Moses 36 And [of] Abraham, who fulfilled [his obligations] - 37 Certainly no one will bear the responsibility of the sins of another, 38 And that man can have nothing but what he does (good or bad). 39 That (the fruit of) his striving will soon come in sight: 40 Then he will be recompensed for it with the fullest recompense 41 And that to your Lord is your returning; 42 and that it is He who makes to laugh, and that makes to weep, 43 And that it is He Who gave death and gave life? 44 That He created pairs, male and female, 45 From Nutfah (drops of semen male and female discharges) when it is emitted; 46 and that He will bring about the Second Creation; 47 That it is He who makes you rich and contented; 48 and that He is the Lord of (the star) Sirius, 49 that He it is Who destroyed the ancient 'Ad, 50 Thamud, 51 And the people of Nuh (Noah) aforetime, verily, they were more unjust and more rebellious and transgressing [in disobeying Allah and His Messenger Nuh (Noah)]. 52 And that it is He Who threw down the upturned townships? 53 so that there came upon them that which came. 54 Which of your Lord's benefits will you then dispute about? 55 This is a warner of the warners of old. 56 There hath approached the approaching Hour. 57 None beside Allah can disclose it. 58 Do you then marvel at this discourse, 59 And do you laugh instead of weeping, 60 Will you remain proudly heedless? 61 So prostrate yourselves before Allah and worship. ۩ 62
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
