The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
96 verses, revealed in Mecca after T H (Taa Haa) before The Poets (Alshu'araa')
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ When the Event will come to pass 1 and then there will be no one to deny its occurrence 2 It will abase some and exalt others. 3 When the earth shall be shaken to its depths, 4 The mountains bruised and crushed, 5 So that they become dust seattered. 6 And ye will be three kinds: 7 Then (there will be) the Companions of the Right Hand;- What will be the Companions of the Right Hand? 8 And the companions of the left - what are the companions of the left? 9 And the Outstrippers, the Outstrippers 10 those are they brought near (to their Lord) 11 In the Gardens of delight (Paradise). 12 A multitude from the ancients. 13 but [only] a few of later times. 14 (They will be) on thrones woven with gold and precious stones, 15 Reclining on them, facing each other. 16 Surrounded by immortal boys. 17 Carrying bowls and pitchers and cups filled with wine flowing before them. 18 (no brows throbbing, no intoxication) 19 Also, they will be served with the fruits of their choice 20 And flesh of fowls that they desire. 21 And there will be fair ones large eyed. 22 like the pearls in their shells: 23 shall be their recompense for their deeds. 24 They will not hear therein any vain or sinful talk, 25 (Naught) but the saying: Peace, (and again) Peace. 26 The Companions of the Right (O Companions of the Right!) 27 Among thorn-less lote-trees. 28 and acacias flower-clad, 29 and shade extended, 30 And water gushing, 31 and an abundance of fruits, 32 Neither intercepted nor forbidden, 33 And couches raised up. 34 for, behold, We shall have brought them into being in a life renewed, 35 and made them virgins, 36 intensely loving and of matching age. 37 For those on the right. 38

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
