Al-Taareq
The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
By the sky and the night comer - 1 And what will make you to know what At-Tariq (night-comer) is? 2 (It is) the piercing star. 3 There is no soul but has a protector over it. 4 Let man reflect on what he was created from. 5 He was created of a gushing fluid, 6 That is issued from between the backs and the ribs. 7 Verily He is Able to restore him, 8 On the day when all secrets will be made public, 9 Then man will have no power or any helper. 10 By the sky with its returning rain, 11 And the earth which opens up (with verdure), 12 BEHOLD, this [divine writ] is indeed a word that distinguishes between truth and falsehood, 13 And it is not a thing for amusement. 14 Surely they will make a scheme, 15 And I (too) will make a scheme. 16 So bear with unbelievers with patience, and give them respite for a while. 17
God the Almighty always says the truth.
