The dwellers in the wood (of Midian) denied the messengers (of Allah), 176 Shu'ayb said to them, "Will you not fear God? 177 I am a trustworthy messenger to you: 178 “Therefore fear Allah and obey me.” 179 “And I do not ask from you any fee for it; my reward is only upon the Lord Of The Creation.” 180 ۞ Fill up the measure and do not diminish the goods of people, 181 "And weigh with the true and straight balance. 182 "And defraud not people by reducing their things, nor do evil, making corruption and mischief in the land. 183 Fear He who created you, and the generations of the ancient' 184 They said: "Surely you are deluded. 185 you are only a mortal like us. Indeed we believe that you are an utter liar. 186 Therefore cause a portion of the heaven to come down upon us, if you are one of the truthful. 187 He said, "My Lord knows all that you do." 188 But they belied him, so the torment of the day of shadow (a gloomy cloud) seized them, indeed that was the torment of a Great Day. 189 Surely there is a Sign in this, but most of them would not believe. 190 Your Lord is Majestic and All-merciful. 191
