Al-Duhaa

The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)

In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful

By the glorious morning light; 1 and by the night when it darkens, 2 Your Lord has not forsaken you, nor has He become displeased, 3 for, indeed, the life to come will be better for thee than this earlier part [of thy life]! 4 And presently thy Lord shall give unto thee so that thou shalt be well-pleased. 5 Has He not found thee an orphan, and given thee shelter? 6 And He found thee wandering, and He gave thee guidance. 7 And He found thee in need, and made thee independent. 8 Therefore do not treat the orphan with harshness, 9 and do not chide the one who asks for help; 10 And as to the favour of thine Lord, discourse thou thereof. 11

Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
