The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
22 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Sun (Al-Shams) before The Fig (Al-Teen)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By heaven of the constellations, 1 And by the Promised Day. 2 By one that witnesses, and the subject of the witness;- 3 Accursed be the People of the Ditch! 4 the makers of the fuel-stoked fire! 5 Lo! [With glee do] they contemplate that [fire,] 6 And they, to what they were doing against the believers, were witnesses. 7 And they did not take vengeance on them for aught except that they believed in Allah, the Mighty, the Praised, 8 to Whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth. Allah witnesses everything. 9 Verily, as for those who persecute believing men and believing women, and thereafter do not repent, hell's suffering awaits them: yea, suffering through fire awaits them! 10 For those who believe and do righteous deeds, will be Gardens; beneath which rivers flow: That is the great Salvation, (the fulfilment of all desires), 11 Lo! the punishment of thy Lord is stern. 12 Behold, it is He who creates [man] in the first instance, and He [it is who] will bring him forth anew. 13 He is the forgiving and the loving, 14 Honorable Owner of the Throne, 15 Performer of what He desires. 16 Has there reached you the story of the soldiers - 17 [Those of] Pharaoh and Thamud? 18 In fact the disbelievers are in denial. 19 While Allah encompasses them from behind. 20 Aye! it is a Recitation glorious, 21 inscribed on a well-guarded Tablet. 22
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
