Noah called for help. How blessed was the answer which he received. 75 And We delivered him and his followers from the mighty distress. 76 And made his progeny to endure (on this earth); 77 We perpetuated his praise in later generations. 78 'Peace be upon Noah among all the worlds' 79 Thus do We reward the righteous ones. 80 Verily he was of Our bondmen believing. 81 Then We drowned the disbelievers. 82 ۞ Abraham was on the self-same way (as Noah). 83 (Remember when) he came to his Lord with a pure heart; 84 and when he said to his father and to his nation: 'What do you worship? 85 It is falsehood that you desire gods other than Allah! 86 What, then, do you think of the Sustainer of all the worlds?" 87 Then he looked up at the stars (they worshipped), 88 and he said, 'Surely I am sick.' 89 And they turned their backs on him and went away. (The pagans thought he would transmit the disease). 90 Then he slipped unto their gods and said: eat ye not? 91 “What is the matter with you, that you do not say anything?” 92 He then began striking them with his right hand, unseen by the people. 93 whereupon people came to him running. 94 He said, “What! You worship what you yourselves have sculpted?” 95 “Whereas Allah has created you and your actions?” 96 They said: Build for him a building and fling him in the red-hotfire. 97 So they plotted a plot against him, but We made them the lowest. 98 And he said (after his rescue from the fire): "Verily, I am going to my Lord. He will guide me!" 99 Abraham prayed, "Lord, grant me a righteous son". 100 So We gave him the good news of a boy ready to suffer and forbear. 101 And, when he (his son) was old enough to walk with him, he said: "O my son! I have seen in a dream that I am slaughtering you (offer you in sacrifice to Allah), so look what you think!" He said: "O my father! Do that which you are commanded, Insha' Allah (if Allah will), you shall find me of As-Sabirin (the patient ones, etc.)." 102 When they both agreed and Abraham had lain down his son on the side of his face (for slaughtering), 103 And We called out to him, “O Ibrahim!” 104 You have fulfilled the vision." Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good. 105 Indeed this was a clear test. 106 So We ransomed him for a great sacrifice, 107 and left him thus to be remembered among later generations: 108 'Peace be upon Abraham!' 109 That is how We reward those who do good. 110 For he was one of our believing Servants. 111 And We gave him the good news of Ishaq, a prophet among the good ones. 112 and We blessed him and Isaac: but among the offspring of these two there were [destined] to be both doers of good and such as would glaringly sin against themselves. 113
