The Quake (Al-Zalzalah)

8 verses, revealed in Medina after Women (Al-Nesaa) before Iron (Al-Hadeed)

In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful

When the earth is shaken by a terrible quake 1 when the earth shakes off her burdens, 2 And man says, “What has happened to it?” 3 On that Day she will tell out the tidings thereof. 4 Because thy Lord inspireth her. 5 On that Day will all men come forward, cut off from one another, to be shown their [past] deeds. 6 Whosoever has done an atom's weight of good shall see it, 7 and whosoever has done an atom's weight of evil shall see it. 8

Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
