Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful

YOU ARE OBSESSED by greed for more and more 1 Until you visit the graveyards. 2 Yes certainly, you will soon realise! 3 nay, again, you shall soon come to know. 4 No indeed; did you know with the knowledge of certainty, 5 For ye will behold hell-fire. 6 In the end you will indeed, most surely, behold it with the eye of certainty: 7 Then on that day you will surely be asked about the verity of pleasures. 8

Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
