Al-nahl 2 of 16
He it is who sendeth down from the heaven water for you, wherefrom is drinking and wherefrom are trees whereas ye pasture your herds. 10 and by virtue of which He causes crops and olives and date-palms and grapes and all kinds of fruit to grow for you. Surely in this there is a great Sign for those who reflect. 11 And He has made subservient for you the night and the day and the sun and the moon, and the stars are made subservient by His commandment; most surely there are signs in this for a people who ponder; 12 And what He has created in the earth of varied hues most surely there is a sign in this for a people who are mindful. 13 It is He who has subdued the sea that you may eat fresh meat from it, and obtain ornaments to wear. You see the ships plough through it that you may seek of His bounties and, perhaps, be grateful. 14 And He has cast great mountains in the earth lest it might be convulsed with you, and rivers and roads that you may go aright, 15 as well as [various other] means of orientation: for [it is] by the stars that men find their way. 16 Is then He Who creates like one that creates not? Will ye not receive admonition? 17 And if you enumerate the favours of Allah, you will never be able to count them; indeed Allah is Oft Forgiving, Most Merciful. 18 And Allah doth know what ye conceal, and what ye reveal. 19 Those whom they (Al-Mushrikun) invoke besides Allah have not created anything, but are themselves created. 20 Dead (are they), not living, and they know not when they shall be raised. 21

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
