When your Lord called upon Moses: "Go to the wicked people, 10 and ask them, "Why do you not fear God?" 11 He answered: "O my Sustainer! Behold, I fear that they will give me the lie, 12 And my breast straiteneth, and my tongue moveth not quickly: so send for Harun. 13 “And they have an accusation against me, so I fear that they may kill me.” 14 [Allah] said, "No. Go both of you with Our signs; indeed, We are with you, listening. 15 They came to the Pharaoh and said, "We are the Messengers of the Lord of the Universe. 16 let the Children of Israel go with us!'" 17 [Pharaoh] said, "Did we not raise you among us as a child, and you remained among us for years of your life? 18 And you did (that) deed of yours which you did, and you are one of the ungrateful. 19 He said: I did it then while I was of those unable to see the right course; 20 and I fled from you because I feared you. Then my Lord granted me wisdom and made me one of the messengers. 21 And this is the favor with which you oblige me: You have made the Israelites your slaves. 22 Pharaoh said: 'And what is the Lord of the Worlds' 23 (Moses) said: "The Lord and Cherisher of the heavens and the earth, and all between,- if ye want to be quite sure." 24 Said [Pharaoh] unto those around him: "Did you hear [what he said]?" 25 He said: Your Lord and the Lord of your fathers of old. 26 Said he, 'Surely your Messenger who was sent to you is possessed!' 27 He said, 'The Lord of the East and West, and what between them is, if you have understanding,' 28 'If you take any other god except myself' he (Pharaoh) replied, 'you shall be thrown into prison' 29 Said Moosa, “Even if I bring to you something clear?” 30 [Pharaoh] answered: "Produce it, then, if thou art a man of truth!" 31 So Moses threw down his staff and suddenly it appeared as a serpent, plainly visible. 32 And he drew forth his hand and lo! it was white to the beholders. 33
