The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)
9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
Woe unto every slandering traducer, 1 who amasses wealth and counts it over and again. 2 He thinks that his wealth will immortalise him forever. 3 By no means! He will be sure to be thrown into That which Breaks to Pieces, 4 Would that you understood what that crushing torment is like. 5 Fire of Allah, Kindled, 6 Which rises above the hearts. 7 (And) vaults them over 8 in extended columns. 9
True are the words of God the Almighty.
