The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
When the sun is overthrown, 1 When the stars fall, losing their lustre; 2 And when the mountains shall be made to pass away, 3 the young barren camels are abandoned, 4 And when the wild beasts are herded together, 5 And when the seas shall become as blazing Fire or shall overflow; 6 when the souls are divided into different classes, 7 And when the female infant buried alive is asked 8 For what crime she was killed; 9 the records of deeds are made public, 10 And when the heaven has its covering removed, 11 And when hell is lighted, 12 and Paradise brought nigh: 13 then shall a soul know what it has produced. 14 I do not need to swear by the orbiting 15 Those that run [their courses] and disappear - 16 And the close of night, 17 and brightening morning, 18 That this is in truth the word of an honoured messenger, 19 The mighty, the honoured in the presence of the Lord of the Throne. 20 obeyed by (all creatures) and faithful to His trust. 21 Your Companion is not mad, 22 he truly beheld [the angel - beheld] him on the clear horizon; 23 he is not niggardly of the Unseen. 24 Nor is this [message] the word of any satanic force accursed. 25 When whither go ye? 26 Verily this is no less than a Message to (all) the Worlds: 27 Unto whomsoever of you willeth to walk straight. 28 But you cannot will it unless God, the Lord of the Universe, so wills it [to show you that way]. 29
True are the words of God the Almighty.
