3/4 Hizb 45
< random >
And Noah had certainly called Us, and [We are] the best of responders. 75 And We delivered him and his people from the great distress, 76 And We made his descendants those remaining [on the earth] 77 And left (his name) for posterity. 78 'Peace be upon Noah among all beings!' 79 Verily, thus We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers - see V. 2:112). 80 Surely he was one of Our truly believing servants. 81 Afterwards We drowned the others. 82 ۞ AND, BEHOLD, of his persuasion was Abraham, too, 83 When he came to his Lord with a heart compliant, 84 when he said to his father and his folk, 'What do you serve? 85 Do you want [to bow down before] a lie - [before] deities other than God? 86 What then is your opinion of the Lord of the Worlds? 87 And he cast a glance at the stars, 88 And said, "Indeed, I am [about to be] ill." 89 So they went away from him, turning back. 90 He then sneaked upon their deities and said, “Do you not eat?” 91 What is the matter with you that you do not speak? 92 And then he fell upon them, smiting them with his right hand. 93 Then they (the worshippers of idols) came, towards him, hastening. 94 Abraham said to them: “Do you worship what you yourselves have carved with your own hands 95 "But Allah has created you and your handwork!" 96 They exclaimed: "Build a pyre for him, and cast him into the blazing fire!" 97 So they plotted a plot against him, but We made them the lowest. 98 He said: "I will go to my Lord! He will surely guide me! 99 My Lord! grant me of the doers of good deeds. 100 So We gave him the good news of a clement son. 101 And, when he (his son) was old enough to walk with him, he said: "O my son! I have seen in a dream that I am slaughtering you (offer you in sacrifice to Allah), so look what you think!" He said: "O my father! Do that which you are commanded, Insha' Allah (if Allah will), you shall find me of As-Sabirin (the patient ones, etc.)." 102 But as soon as the two had surrendered themselves to [what they thought to be] the will of God, and [Abraham] had laid him down on his face, 103 We called to him, "O Abraham, 104 you have fulfilled the dream." It is thus indeed that We reward those who do good, 105 Lo! that verily was a clear test. 106 And We ransomed him with a great sacrifice, 107 And We left for him among the posterity: 108 'Peace be upon Abraham' 109 This is how We reward the virtuous. 110 Surely he was one of Our believing servants. 111 And We gave him the good news of Isaac, a Prophet and among the righteous ones. 112 We blessed him and Ishaque (Isaac), and of their progeny are (some) that do right, and some that plainly wrong themselves. 113
