Al-Waaqe'ah 3 of 3
۞ Furthermore I call to witness the setting of the Stars,- 75 - which is indeed a great oath if only you knew it - 76 that this is an honorable Quran 77 inscribed in a well-guarded Book, 78 none but the purified shall touch, 79 A revelation from the Lord of the Worlds. 80 Then is it to this statement that you are indifferent 81 and make it your daily bread [as it were] to call the truth a lie? 82 Why, but when the soul leaps to the throat of the dying 83 And ye are then looking on. 84 - And We are nearer unto him than ye are, but ye see not - 85 why, if you are not at Our disposal, 86 Do ye not force it back, if ye are truthful? 87 And if the deceased was of those brought near to Allah, 88 (There is for him) Rest and Satisfaction, and a Garden of Delights. 89 And if he be of the fellows on the right hand, 90 (For him is the salutation), "Peace be unto thee", from the Companions of the Right Hand. 91 But, if he is of those who belied, and went astray, 92 He shall have an entertainment of boiling water, 93 And burning in Hellfire 94 This is indeed the indubitable truth. 95 Extol, then, the limitless glory of thy Sustainer's mighty name! 96

كيف تعمل منظومة تمارين الحفظ؟ عند أدنى مستوى 0، تكون كل الكلمات ظاهرة. بينما يُخفي أعلى مستوى 9 كل الكلمات. فكيف تعمل المستويات المتوسطة، مثل 3، على سبيل المثال؟ قد تعتقد بأن المنظومة تخفي 3 من كل تسع كلمات بدقة. ليس تماما! في المستوى 3، لكل كلمة فرصة اختفاء بنسبة 3 من 9، و6 من 9 لتكون ظاهرة. بمعنى آخر، من الممكن، ولكن باحتمال شبة معدوم، أن تكون جميع كلمات المستوى 3 مخفية، أو أن تكون جميعها ظاهرة! وكذلك أيضًا، ففي المستويات المتوسطة، وبما يتناسب مع مستوى الصعوبة، يمكن أن تكون المخابئ غير كاملة أو شفافة جزئيًا بحيث تظهر الكلمات جزئيًا تحتها.
How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
