The people of Noah also rejected the messengers. 105 when their brother Noah said to them, 'Will you not be godfearing? 106 I am for you an honest Messenger, 107 so serve you God, and obey you me. 108 And I ask of you no wage therefor; my wage is the concern only of the Lord of the Worlds. 109 So fear God and follow me." 110 ۞ They replied: 'Are we to believe you whom the lowliest follow' 111 He said: 'I have no knowledge of what they have done. 112 Their account falls only upon My Lord, if you were but aware. 113 Hence, I shall not drive away [any of] those [who profess to be] believers; 114 I am only a Prophet. 115 They said: "If you cease not, O Nuh (Noah)! You will surely be among those stoned (to death)." 116 He said: "O my Lord! truly my people have rejected me. 117 “Therefore make a decisive judgement between me and them, and rescue me and the believers along with me.” 118 Thereafter We rescued him and those who were with him in the laden Ark 119 and drowned the rest. 120 Surely there is a Sign in this, but most of them would not believe. 121 And indeed, your Lord - He is the Exalted in Might, the Merciful. 122
