Hizb 46
< random >
And indeed Yunus is one of the Noble Messengers. 139 When he fled on the laden ship, 140 He (agreed to) cast lots, and he was among the losers, 141 The fish swallowed him up and he deserved (all this). 142 And had he not been of those who [even in the deep darkness of their distress are able to] extol God's limitless glory, 143 he would indeed have remained in its belly till the Day when all shall be raised from the dead: 144 ۞ But We cast him forth on the naked shore while he was sick, 145 And We caused a tree of gourd to grow above him; 146 and We sent him forth to a nation of a hundred thousand or more, 147 And they came to believe; so We allowed them to enjoy the good things of life for an age. 148 Now ask them (O Muhammad SAW): "Are there (only) daughters for your Lord and sons for them?" 149 Or created We the angels females while they were witnesses? 150 Pay heed! It is their slander that they say. 151 "God has begotten [a son]"; and verily, they are lying [too, when they say,] 152 Did He (then) choose daughters rather than sons? 153 What aileth you? How judge ye? 154 Will you then not take heed? 155 Or do you have a clear authority? 156 Bring your Book, if you speak truly! 157 And they have appointed a relationship between Him and the jinns; and indeed the jinns surely know that they will be brought forth. 158 limitless is God in His glory, above anything that men may devise by way of definition! 159 but not so the true servants of God, 160 So surely you and what you worship, 161 you shall tempt none against Him 162 unless it be such as rushes towards the blazing fire [of his own accord]! 163 As for us, there is none but has an appointed station. 164 “And indeed we, with our wings spread, await the command.” 165 “And indeed we are those who say His purity.” 166 And indeed they used to say: 167 If we had the account of earlier people with us, 168 Surely we would have been the bondmen of God sincere. 169 But (now that the Qur'an has come), they reject it: But soon will they know! 170 And Our word has already preceded for Our servants, the messengers, 171 That undoubtedly, only they will be helped. 172 And surely, only Our army will be victorious. 173 So you ignore them for a time 174 See them and soon they shall see. 175 Do they seek to hasten on Our Torment? 176 When it comes down on their plains, it will be an evil dawn for those who had been warned. 177 So turn away from them for a time 178 and see; soon they shall see! 179 Glory to thy Lord, the Lord of Honour and Power! (He is free) from what they ascribe (to Him)! 180 and peace be upon the Messengers, 181 And all the praise and thanks be to Allah, Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists). 182
God the Almighty always says the truth.
