Nay, by the Moon 32 and by the night when it recedes, 33 And the daybreak when it shines; 34 surely it is one of the greatest things 35 Warn the men. 36 Unto him of you who will advance or hang back. 37 Every soul will be in captivity for its deeds 38 Except the Companions of the Right Hand. 39 who shall be in the Gardens, and shall ask 40 concerning the sinners, 41 What led you into the Scorching Fire? 42 They shall say: We were not of those who prayed; 43 Nor did we used to feed the poor. 44 And we used to enter into vain discourse with those who entered into vain discourses. 45 And we used to deny the Day of Recompense 46 until the Inevitable End [death] overtook us." 47 Then there will not profit them intercesion of the interceders. 48 Why now turn they away from the Admonishment, 49 as if they were startled asses 50 Fleeing away from a lion. 51 In fact every one of them wants to be given open books (like the prophets). 52 No indeed; the truth is that they have no fear of the Hereafter. 53 Nay, verily. Lo! this is an Admonishment. 54 So whosoever willeth may heed it. 55 But none will keep it in remembrance except as Allah wills: He is the Lord of Righteousness, and the Lord of Forgiveness. 56
