The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the heaven, holding the big stars. 1 by the promised day, 2 And by oath of the day that is a witness and by oath of a day in which the people present themselves. 3 Woe to the makers of the pit (of fire), 4 Of the fire (kept burning) with fuel, 5 When they sat by it, 6 and they were witnesses of what they did to the believers 7 And they ill-treated them for no other reason than that they believed in Allah, Exalted in Power, Worthy of all Praise!- 8 To Him only belongs the kingship of the heavens and the earth; and Allah is a Witness over all things. 9 Verily, as for those who persecute believing men and believing women, and thereafter do not repent, hell's suffering awaits them: yea, suffering through fire awaits them! 10 Verily, those who believe and do righteous good deeds, for them will be Gardens under which rivers flow (Paradise). That is the great success. 11 Indeed, the seizing of your Lord is severe. 12 It is He Who creates from the very beginning, and He can restore (life). 13 He is the forgiving and the loving, 14 the Owner of the Throne, the Glorious One, 15 Doer of whatsoever He intendeth. 16 Has it come to you the story of the hosts 17 (The armies of) Firaun and the tribe of Thamud. 18 In fact, the disbelievers had always rejected (Our revelations). 19 Allah encompasses them all from behind. 20 Nay, but it is a glorious Koran, 21 On a guarded tablet. 22
