Have you considered he who turns his back, 33 And gave little, and then stopped? 34 Has he the knowledge of the unseen so that he can see? 35 Or hath he not had news of what is in the books of Moses 36 And [of] Abraham, who fulfilled [his obligations] - 37 That no soul shall bear another's burden, 38 And that there is not for man except that [good] for which he strives 39 and that his work is surely seen 40 And afterward he will be repaid for it with fullest payment; 41 And that to your Lord (Allah) is the End (Return of everything). 42 that it is He who causes to laugh and causes to weep. 43 That it is He Who granteth Death and Life; 44 and that it is He who created pairs, the male and the female, 45 from a discharged living germ 46 And that upon Him is another bringing forth. 47 and that it is He who gives wealth and riches, 48 And that He only is the Lord of the star Sirius? 49 And that He did destroy the Ad of old 50 And that Thamud! He left not. 51 And before them, the people of Noah, for that they were (all) most unjust and most insolent transgressors, 52 And He overthrew the Cities of the Plain, 53 so that there came upon them that which came. 54 About which of the bounties of your Lord can they persistently dispute? 55 He who warns you is one of the warners of old. 56 The Approaching Day has approached. 57 None but God can avert it. 58 Do you then wonder at this recital (the Quran)? 59 Will you laugh at it rather than weep? 60 Will you occupy yourselves simply in merriment? 61 [Nay,] but prostrate yourselves before God, and worship [Him alone]! ۩ 62
