۞ When the son of Mary was mentioned as an example, you people cried out in protest, saying, 57 And say: "Are our deities better or he?" They say this only for disputing. Surely they are a contentious people. 58 but he was only a servant We favoured and made an example for the Children of Israel: 59 And if We please, We could make among you angels to be successors in the land. 60 And lo! verily there is knowledge of the Hour. So doubt ye not concerning it, but follow Me. This is the right path. 61 Let not Satan bar you; he is for you a manifest foe. 62 When Jesus came with the signs, he said: "I have come to you with authority, and to explain some thing about which you are at variance. So fear God, and follow me. 63 Verily Allah! He is my lord and your Lord, so worship Him: this is the straight path. 64 Then the groups differed amongst themselves; therefore ruin is for the unjust by the punishment of an agonising day. 65 Do they only wait for the Hour that it shall come upon them suddenly, while they perceive not? 66 The intimate friends on that Day will be hostile unto one another save the God-fearing. 67
