With power and skill did We construct the Firmament: for it is We Who create the vastness of pace. 47 We have spread out the earth, how well We have spread it out, 48 And of every thing We have created pairs, that haply ye may remember. 49 Therefor flee unto Allah; lo! I am a plain warner unto you from him. 50 “And do not appoint other deities along with Allah; indeed I am from Him, a clear Herald of Warning towards you.” 51 Thus has it been (in the past): never did a Messenger come to the nations that preceded them but they said: “(He is) a sorcerer, or a mad-man.” 52 Have they bequeathed it unto each other! Nay! they are a people contumacious. 53 So withdraw from them (O Muhammad), for thou art in no wise blameworthy, 54 And admonish, for verily admonition profiteth the believers. 55 And [tell them that] I have not created the invisible beings and men to any end other than that they may [know and] worship Me. 56 I desire of them no provision, neither do I desire that they should feed Me. 57 Verily, Allah is the All-Provider, Owner of Power, the Most Strong. 58 So verily unto those who do wrong there is a portion like unto the portion of their fellows; wherefore let them not ask Me to hasten on. 59 woe, then, to those who are bent on denying the truth, when the Day arrives which they have been promised. 60
