The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ Prosperous are the believers 1 Who are humble in their service, 2 and from idle talk turn away 3 who give charity, 4 who strictly guard their private parts 5 Except before their mates or those whom their right hands possess, for they surely are not blameable, 6 whereas such as seek to go beyond that [limit] are truly transgressors; 7 And they who are to their trusts and their promises attentive 8 and those who attend to their prayers; 9 and who are steadfast in their prayer. 10 Who shall inherit Paradise; therein they shall be abiders. 11 We created man out of the extract of clay, 12 Then placed him as a drop (of seed) in a safe lodging; 13 We then turned the drop of fluid into a clot of blood, then the clot into a small lump of flesh, then the lump into bones, then covered the bones with flesh; then developed it in a different mould; therefore Most Auspicious is Allah, the Best Creator. 14 Thereafter you are destined to die, 15 Then lo! on the Day of Resurrection ye are raised (again). 16 We have created seven paths above you; We have never been unmindful of Our creation. 17 And We send down water from the sky according to (due) measure, and We cause it to soak in the soil; and We certainly are able to drain it off (with ease). 18 And by means of this [water] We bring forth for you gardens of date-palms and vines, wherein you have fruit abundant and whereof you eat, 19 And a tree (olive) that springs forth from Mount Sinai, that grows oil, and (it is a) relish for the eaters. 20 And in cattle (too) ye have an instructive example: from within their bodies We produce (milk) for you to drink; there are, in them, (besides), numerous (other) benefits for you; and of their (meat) ye eat; 21 and by them - as by the ships [over the sea] - you are borne [overland]. 22
