Say: 'Lord, if You should show me that which they are promised, 93 Then do not, O Lord, put me among the sinners." 94 We have certainly the power to make you see what We have promised them. 95 Respond to the injustice (done to you) with the better deed. We know best what they attribute to God. 96 And say: "My Lord! I seek refuge with You from the whisperings (suggestions) of the Shayatin (devils). 97 and I take refuge in Thee, O my Lord, lest they attend me.' 98 Till, when death comes to one of them, he says, 'My Lord, return me; 99 so that I might act righteously in whatever I have failed [aforetime]!" Nay, it is indeed but a [meaningless] word that he utters: for behind those [who leave the world] there is a barrier [of death] until the Day when all will be raised from the dead! 100 So when the Horn is blown, no relationship will there be among them that Day, nor will they ask about one another. 101 Then those whose balance (of good deeds) is heavy,- they will attain salvation: 102 And those whose scales (of good deeds) are light, they are those who lose their ownselves, in Hell will they abide. 103 the Fire smiting their faces the while they glower there. 104 (We shall say): 'Were My verses not recited to you, and did you not belie them' 105 They will say: "our Lord! Our misfortune overwhelmed us, and we became a people astray! 106 “Our Lord, remove us from hell – then if we do the same, we are the unjust.” 107 He will say: "Remain condemned in it, and do not speak to Me. 108 Verily! There was a party of My slaves, who used to say: "Our Lord! We believe, so forgive us, and have mercy on us, for You are the Best of all who show mercy!" 109 "But ye treated them with ridicule, so much so that (ridicule of) them made you forget My Message while ye were laughing at them! 110 [But,] behold, today I have rewarded them for their patience in adversity: verily, it is they, they who have achieved a triumph!" 111 He will ask, "How many years did you stay on earth?" 112 They will reply: 'A day, or part of a day; ask those who have kept count' 113 He will say: You did tarry but a little-- had you but known (it): 114 What, did you think that We created you only for sport, and that you would not be returned to Us?' 115 So Most Supreme is Allah, the True King; there is no God except Him; Lord of the Throne of Honour. 116 Hence, he who invokes, side by side with God, any other deity - [a deity] for whose existence he has no evidence - shall but find his reckoning with his Sustainer: [and,] verily, such deniers of the truth will never attain to a happy state! 117 And say, (O Muhammad): "My Lord, forgive us and have mercy on us, for You are the Best of those that are merciful." 118
