Do you not see how your Lord stretches the shadow? Had it been His will, He could have made it constant. Then He appointed the sun to be a guide to it; 45 Then We draw it in towards Ourselves,- a contraction by easy stages. 46 And He it is Who maketh night a covering for you, and sleep repose, and maketh day a resurrection. 47 And it is He, Who drives the winds to be the harbingers of His mercy: then He sends down pure water from the sky 48 so that We might revive a dead land, and give to drink of it, of that We created, cattle and men a many. 49 And verily We have repeated it among them that they may remember, but most of mankind begrudge aught save ingratitude. 50 If We willed, We could have sent a Herald of Warning to every village. 51 So do not follow the unbelievers, and strive against them a mighty striving with it. 52 ۞ It is He who has joined the two seas; one palatable and sweet, the other bitterly salty and has established a barrier between them as a partition. 53 And He it is who out of this [very] water has created man, and has endowed him with [the consciousness of] descent and marriage-tie: for thy Sustainer is ever infinite in His power. 54 And yet, some people worship, instead of God, things that can neither benefit them nor harm them: thus, he who denies the truth does indeed turn his back on his Sustainer! 55 And We have not sent you, [O Muhammad], except as a bringer of good tidings and a warner. 56 Say: "No reward do I ask of you for it but this: that each one who will may take a (straight) Path to his Lord." 57 And put thy trust in Him Who lives and dies not; and celebrate his praise; and enough is He to be acquainted with the faults of His servants;- 58 In six days He created the earth and the heavens and all that is between them; then He established Himself on the "Throne" (of the Kingdom of the uriverse). (He is) the Merciful: as to His Glory, ask the one who knows. 59 When you say to them: "Bow before Ar-Rahman," they say: "What is Ar-Rahman? Should we adore whoever you ask us to?" And their aversion increases further. ۩ 60

Notes and Instructions
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
