A token unto them is the dead earth. We revive it, and We bring forth from it grain so that they eat thereof; 33 And We produce therein orchard with date-palms and vines, and We cause springs to gush forth therein: 34 That they may eat of His fruit. And their hands have not produced it, so will they not be grateful? 35 Glory be to Him, who created all the pairs of what the earth produces, and of themselves, and of what they know not. 36 A token unto them is night. We strip it of the day, and lo! they are in darkness. 37 And the sun runs its course for its final destination; this is a command of the Almighty, the All Knowing. 38 We have appointed stages for the moon till it returns in the shape of a dry old branch of palm-tree. 39 Neither is it allowable to the sun that it should overtake the moon, nor can the night outstrip the day; and all float on in a sphere. 40 And a sign for them is that We lodged them in a laden ship, while they were in their forefathers backs. 41 and [that] We create for them things of a similar kind, on which they may embark [in their travels]; 42 Had We wanted, We could have drowned them and nothing would have been able to help or rescue them 43 save as a mercy from Us, and enjoyment for a while. 44 And when it is said to them: "Beware of that which is before you (worldly torments), and that which is behind you (torments in the Hereafter), in order that you may receive Mercy (i.e. if you believe in Allah's Religion Islamic Monotheism, and avoid polytheism, and obey Allah with righteous deeds). 45 yet never any sign of the signs of their Lord comes to them, but they are turning away from it. 46 And when it is said to them, "Spend from that which Allah has provided for you," those who disbelieve say to those who believe, "Should we feed one whom, if Allah had willed, He would have fed? You are not but in clear error." 47 And they say, “When will this promise be fulfilled, if you are truthful?” 48 They will not have to wait long. When the Day of Judgment comes, it will only take a single blast of sound to strike them while they are quarrelling with one another. 49 And they will not be able [to give] any instruction, nor to their people can they return. 50
