Q (Qaaf)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Qaf. By the Glorious Qur'an, 1 But they wonder that there has come to them a warner from among themselves, and the disbelievers say, "This is an amazing thing. 2 that after we die and become dust, we shall be brought back to life again. This seems far from reality". 3 (Thus do they imagine, although) We know well what the earth takes away from them. With Us is a Record that preserves everything. 4 But they denied the truth when it came to them, so they are in a confused condition. 5 Do they not look at the sky above them - how We have built it and made it beautiful and free of all faults? 6 And the earth! We have spread it out, and set thereon mountains standing firm, and have produced therein every kind of lovely growth (plants). 7 for an insight and a reminder to every penitent servant. 8 And We send down water as a blessing from the sky, and grow gardens with it and the grain for harvest, 9 And lofty date-palms with ranged clusters, 10 all this as sustenance for Our servants. And thus We do bring the dead land back to life with water. Such shall be the coming forth (of human beings from the earth). 11 (Others) before them rejected (prophets): the people of Nuh and the dwellers of Ar-Rass and Samood, 12 and so did 'Ad, and Pharaoh and Lot's brethren, 13 And the dwellers of the Wood and people of Tubba'. Each of them denied the apostles. So My threat became a reality. 14 So did We tire by creating the first time? Rather they doubt being created again. 15
