We built the heavens by Our authority; and We are the Lord of power and expanse. 47 And We made the earth a base, so how well do We lay out! 48 And We created pairs of everything that you may contemplate. 49 Therefore fly to Allah, surely I am a plain warner to you from Him. 50 And set not up another god with Allah; verily I am unto you from Him a warner manifest. 51 Likewise, there came no messenger to those before them, but they said, "He is a sorcerer or a madman." 52 Have they, perchance, handed down this [way of thinking] as a legacy unto one another? Nay, they are people filled with overweening arrogance! 53 Turn, then, away from them, and thou shalt incur no blame; 54 And advise, for advice benefits the Muslims. 55 I created the jinn and humans for nothing else but that they may serve Me; 56 I seek no sustenance from them, nor do I want them to feed Me -- 57 Indeed it is Allah, Who is the Greatest Sustainer, the Strong, the Able. 58 The wrongdoers will meet the same fate as their predecessors, let them not ask Me to hasten on [the punishment], 59 And woe to those who have disbelieved from their Day which they are promised. 60
