The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ Allah, the Most Gracious 1 Hath made known the Qur'an. 2 He hath created man. 3 and He has taught him the Explanation. 4 The sun and the moon follow courses (exactly) computed; 5 And the herbs and the trees - both (alike) prostrate in adoration. 6 And the skies has He raised high, and has devised [for all things] a measure, 7 That ye should not trespass in respect of the balance. 8 But observe the measure strictly, nor fall short thereof. 9 And the earth, He has set it for living creatures; 10 On it are fruits and palm-trees with sheathed clusters [of dates], 11 Also corn, with (its) leaves and stalk for fodder, and sweet-smelling plants. 12 Which, then, of the benefits of your Lord, will ye twain belie? 13 He created man from sounding clay like unto pottery, 14 and He created the jinns from a flame of fire. 15 O which of your Lord's bounties will you and you deny? 16 Lord of the two easts and of the two wests is He. 17 Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny? 18 He let forth the two seas that meet together, 19 With an interstice between them which they cannot cross. 20 Which favors of your Lord will you both belie? 21 Out of them both come out pearl and coral. 22 Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny? 23 And to Him belong the ships [with sails] elevated in the sea like mountains. 24 Which favors of your Lord will you both belie? 25
