Jinns (Al-Jinn)
28 verses, revealed in Mecca after A 'araaf (Al-A 'araaf) before Y S (Yaa Seen)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Say: 'It is revealed to me that a party of jinn listened then said: "We have indeed heard a wonderful Koran, 1 Which guides to the right path; and we have come to believe in it, and will not associate any one with our Lord. 2 and that “He exalted be His Majesty has not taken to Himself either a wife or a son”; 3 ‘And that the fool among us used to utter false exaggerations against Allah.’ 4 And we had thought that mankind and the jinn would never speak about Allah a lie. 5 And indeed (O Muhammad) individuals of humankind used to invoke the protection of individuals of the jinn, so that they increased them in revolt against Allah); 6 And indeed they supposed, even as ye suppose, that Allah would not raise anyone (from the dead) - 7 And we sought to reach the heaven; then we found it filled with a strong guard and darting meteors. 8 There, we would sit to eavesdrop, but now an eavesdropper finds a flame in wait for him. 9 And that we know not whether evil is meant for those who are on earth or whether their Lord means to bring them good: 10 Some of us are righteous, while others are not; we follow divergent paths. 11 Indeed, we thought that we should never be able to frustrate God in the earth, neither be able to frustrate Him by flight. 12 And when we heard the Message of guidance, we believed therein; and whosoever believeth in his Lord, he shall fear neither diminution nor wrong. 13 And there are among us some who have surrendered (to Allah) and there are among us some who are unjust. And whoso hath surrendered to Allah, such have taken the right path purposefully. 14 However, the deviators from the Truth will be the fuel for hell". 15 If they had followed the right path, We would have provided them with abundant rain -- 16 and tested them with it. And whosoever turns away from his Lord's Remembrance, He will hurl him into a stern punishment. 17 and that “mosques belong to Allah, so do not invoke anyone with Him”; 18 And when the slave of Allah stood up in prayer to Him, they crowded on him, almost stifling. 19
