Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ I do call to witness the Resurrection Day; 1 and by the self-reproaching soul! 2 Does man imagine that We will not be able to bring his bones together again? 3 Nay, We are able to put together in perfect order the very tips of his fingers. 4 Nay, but man desires to continue on as a libertine, 5 He asks: When is the day of resurrection? 6 Yet when the eyes are dazzled, 7 And the moon becomes dark, 8 and the sun and moon are brought together, 9 On that Day shall man say: whither is the fleeing. 10 No, there is no refuge. 11 Unto your Lord (Alone) will be the place of rest that Day. 12 Then man will be told what he had sent ahead (of good) and what he had left behind. 13 Aye! man against himself shall be an enlightenment. 14 Though he may put forth his excuses (to cover his evil deeds). 15 Do not move your tongue with it (the Revelation) to hasten it. 16 Indeed assembling the Qur’an and reading it are upon Us. 17 And when We have recited it to you [O Muhammad SAW through Jibrael (Gabriel)], then follow you its (the Quran's) recital. 18 and then, behold, it will be for Us to make its meaning clear. 19 Nay; the truth is that you love ardently (the good of this world) that can be obtained hastily, 20 and are oblivious of the Hereafter. 21 (Some) faces on that day shall be bright, 22 looking towards their Lord; 23 And [some] faces, that Day, will be contorted, 24 so they might think the Calamity had been inflicted upon them. 25 No indeed; when it reaches the clavicles 26 And there will be a cry, "Who is a magician (to restore him)?" 27 and he knows that it is the time of parting; 28 when his legs are brought together [when affliction is combined with affliction]; 29 upon that day unto thy Lord shall be the driving. 30
