Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By (the angels) sent forth with the commands of God, 1 storming tempestuously 2 Consider these [messages] that spread [the truth] far and wide, 3 And the scattering winds scattering. 4 by those who bring down the reminder, 5 To end all argument or to warn. 6 that which you have been promised shall be fulfilled. 7 So when the stars are made to lose their light, 8 and when the sky is rent asunder 9 and when the mountains are scattered like dust, 10 And when the messengers are (all) appointed a time (to collect);- 11 To which Day has this task been deferred? 12 one will be told, "To the Day of Distinction". 13 And what can make you know what is the Day of Judgement? 14 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 15 Did We not destroy [so many of] those [sinners] of olden days? 16 And We shall let them be followed by those of later times: 17 As such shall We deal with the sinners. 18 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 19 Created We you not of water despicable, 20 The which We placed in a place of rest, firmly fixed, 21 for an appointed term? 22 So We decreed. How excellent are We as decreers! 23 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle. 25 Of the living and the dead? 26 Have We not placed high mountains upon it and filled you with sweet water? 27 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 28 (It will be said unto them:) Depart unto that (doom) which ye used to deny; 29 Depart unto the shadow falling threefold, 30 that will offer no [cooling] shade and will be of no avail against the flame 31 which - behold! - will throw up sparks like [burning] logs, 32 and as bright as a herd of yellow camels. 33 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 34 They will not be able to speak that day, 35 Nor will they be given permission to present excuses. 36 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 37 that Day of Distinction [between the true and the false, when they will be told]: "We have brought you together with those [sinners] of olden times; 38 If now ye have any craft, try that craft upon Me. 39 Woe on the day unto the beliers! 40
