Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By the (winds) sent forth in quick succession, 1 By the raging hurricanes, 2 And those that revive by quickening, 3 and the severally severing 4 Then spread abroad a Message, 5 To excuse or to warn, 6 Verily that which ye are promised is about to befall. 7 Then the stars will lose their light. 8 and when the sky is rent asunder, 9 And when the mountains are carried away as dust, 10 And when the messengers are (all) appointed a time (to collect);- 11 For what day is that time fixed? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 And what will explain to thee what is the Day of Sorting out? 14 On that day, woe will be to those who have rejected God's revelations! 15 Destroyed We not the former folk, 16 and then follow them with the later folk? 17 As such shall We deal with the sinners. 18 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 19 Did We not create you from a liquid disdained? 20 The which We placed in a place of rest, firmly fixed, 21 for an appointed time? 22 Thus We arranged. How excellent is Our arranging! 23 Woe, on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 24 Did We not make the earth a receptacle, 25 Both for the living and the dead, 26 Set We not therein soaring mountains? Sated you with sweetest water? 27 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 28 GO ON towards that [resurrection] which you were wont to call a lie! 29 Proceed to that shadow, rising in three columns 30 which neither gives shade nor protects one from the flames. 31 Verily it shall cast forth sparks like unto a castle. 32 As if they were tawny camels. 33 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 34 This is a Day they will not speak, 35 nor shall they be permitted to offer excuses. 36 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 37 This is the Day of Decision, We have assembled both ye and the ancients. 38 if you have a trick, try you now to trick Me!' 39 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 40
