And man (the disbeliever) says: "When I am dead, shall I then be raised up alive?" 66 But does not man call to mind that We created him before out of nothing? 67 And so, by thy Sustainer, [on Judgment Day] We shall most certainly bring them forth together with the satanic forces [which impelled them in life] and then We shall most certainly gather them, on their knees, around hell; 68 Then We shall carry off from every group those who were most stubborn in their opposition to the Gracious One, 69 for, indeed, We know best as to which of them is most deserving of the fires of hell. 70 And there is not one of you but shall come to it; this is an unavoidable decree of your Lord. 71 Then, We will save those who were cautious of Us, but the harmdoers shall be left there hobbling on their knees. 72 When Our lucid revelations are read out to them, the infidels say to those who believe: "Which of the two groups is better in standing, and whose company is more excellent?" 73 How many generations that had far more wealth and ostentation have We laid low before them! 74 Say: 'Whosoever is in error, let the Most Merciful prolong his life span until they see that which they were threatened, be it a punishment, or the Hour. Then shall they know whose is the worst place and who is weaker in hosts' 75 And God endows those who avail themselves of [His] guidance with an ever-deeper consciousness of the right way; and good deeds, the fruit whereof endures forever, are, in thy Sustainer's sight, of far greater merit [than any worldly goods,] and yield far better returns. 76 And hast thou ever considered [the kind of man] who is bent on denying the truth of Our messages and says, "I will surely be given wealth and children"? 77 Has he obtained knowledge of the Unseen, or has he taken a covenant with the Most Compassionate Lord? 78 Absolutely not, We will record his words and prolong his punishment. 79 And We shall inherit from him (at his death) all that he talks of (i.e. wealth and children which We have bestowed upon him in this world), and he shall come to Us alone. 80 They have taken other gods apart from God that they might be a strength to them. 81 But they shall reject their worship and turn against them. 82
