Is he whom We have promised an excellent promise (Paradise), which he will find true, like him whom We have made to enjoy the luxuries of the life of (this) world, then on the Day of Resurrection, he will be among those brought up (to be punished in the Hell-fire)? 61 That Day (Allah) will call to them, and say "Where are my 'partners'?- whom ye imagined (to be such)?" 62 Those against whom the Word will be realised will say: "Our Lord, these are the ones whom we led astray just as we ourselves strayed. We absolve ourselves before You of all blame. It was not us that they worshipped." 63 And it will be said: Call your associate-gods. So they will call upon them, but they will not answer them, and they shall see the punishment; would that they had followed the right way! 64 (Let them not disregard) that the Day when Allah will call out to them saying: "What was the answer you gave to the Messengers?" 65 Then all news will be blacked out for them, and they will not even ask one another. 66 Howbeit, whosoever shall repent and believe, and work righteous works - belike he shall be of the thrivers. 67 Your Lord creates whatsoever He wills and chooses whomsoever He pleases. They have no choice. Praise be to God -- exalted is He over anything they may associate with Him! 68 And thy Lord knows all that their hearts conceal and all that they reveal. 69 He is God: there is no god but Him. All Praise is due to Him in this world and the hereafter. His is the Judgement and to Him you shall be returned. 70 (Muhammad), ask them, "Think, if God were to cause the night to continue until the Day of Judgment which Lord besides Him could bring you light? Will you then not listen to (His revelations)?" 71 Say, "Tell me, if God were to extend perpetual day over you till the Day of Judgement -- is there any deity other than God that could bring you night, in which to rest? Will you not then see?" 72 And out of His mercy He made for you the night and the day that you may rest therein and [by day] seek from His bounty and [that] perhaps you will be grateful. 73 Upon a day He will call them and ask: "Where are they you imagined were My compeers?" 74 From every nation We will bring a witness, and We shall say to them: 'Produce your proof' Then they shall know the truth is with Allah, and their own fabrications will forsake them. 75
