Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ When the heaven is cleft asunder, 1 and when the stars are scattered; 2 and when the seas burst beyond their bounds, 3 And when the [contents of] graves are scattered, 4 Each soul will know what it had sent ahead and what it had left behind. 5 O MAN! What is it that lures thee away from thy bountiful Sustainer, 6 who has created thee, and formed thee in accordance with what thou art meant' to be, and shaped thy nature in just proportions, 7 Into whatever form He pleased He constituted you. 8 Rather, you belied the Recompense. 9 And indeed, [appointed] over you are keepers, 10 noble, writers 11 They know whatsoever ye do. 12 Surely the virtuous shall be in Bliss, 13 And lo! the wicked verily will be in hell; 14 They shall enter it on the day of judgment. 15 And never therefrom will they be absent. 16 What do you know what the Day of Recompense is? 17 Again: what will make you realize what the Day of Judgement will be? 18 It is the Day when no soul can do a thing for another soul. That Day, the command belongs to Allah. 19
