The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ EXTOL the limitless glory of thy Sustainer's name: [the glory of] the Al-Highest, 1 who creates [every thing,] and thereupon forms it in accordance with what it is meant to be, 2 who determines the nature [of all that exists], and guided it accordingly; 3 who brought forth the pasturage 4 And then makes it dark stubble. 5 We shall make thee read (O Muhammad) so that thou shalt not forget 6 except whatever God wills; He knows both what is manifest and what is hidden -- 7 And We shall ease thy way unto the state of ease. 8 Remind, if the reminder can be of benefit. 9 Soon whoever fears will heed advice. 10 but the most wretched shall flout it, 11 Who will enter the Great Fire, 12 Then he will neither die in it, nor live. 13 He indeed hath attained bliss who hath cleansed himself, 14 and remembers his Sustainer's name, and prays [unto Him]. 15 But you prefer the life of this world, 16 although the life to come is better and more enduring. 17 Verily, [all] this has indeed been [said] in the earlier revelations 18 Writs of Ibrahim and Musa. 19
