The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Exalt the name of your Lord, the Most High, 1 Who creates and proportions, 2 And Who has measured (preordainments for each and everything even to be blessed or wretched); then guided (i.e. showed mankind the right as well as wrong paths, and guided the animals to pasture); 3 Who brought forth the pasture, 4 and then made it into a blackish straw. 5 We shall make you recite so that you will not forget, 6 save what God wills; surely He knows what is spoken aloud and what is hidden. 7 and [thus] shall We make easy for thee the path towards [ultimate] ease. 8 Therefore remind, if the Reminder benefits, 9 Admonished is he indeed who feareth, 10 but it will be ignored by the most unfortunate, 11 Who will burn in the terrible Fire, 12 Neither dying therein nor living. 13 Surely he will succeed who grows in goodness, 14 remember the name of the Lord, and pray to Him. 15 But no, you prefer the life of the world, 16 Whereas the Hereafter is better and more lasting. 17 Verily! This is in the former Scriptures, 18 The Books of Abraham and Moses. 19
