The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ Glorify the name of your Lord, the Most High, 1 Who createth, then disposeth; 2 who has ordained and guided, 3 And Who brings out the pasturage, 4 then made it dry dark, flaky stubble, 5 We shall make thee recite, to forget not 6 save what God may will [thee to forget] - for, verily, He [alone] knows all that is open to [man's] perception as well as all that is hidden [from it] 7 We shall take you slowly towards ease. 8 Wherefore admonish thou; admonition hath surely profited, 9 Soon whoever fears will heed advice. 10 And the most wicked will stay away from it. 11 He who shall roast into the Great Fire, 12 Neither dying therein nor living. 13 He indeed shall be successful who purifies himself, 14 and mentions the Name of his Lord, and prays. 15 But you prefer the worldly life, 16 although the life to come is better and more enduring. 17 This is what is written in the ancient heavenly Books, 18 the scriptures of Abraham and Moses. 19
