The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
CONSIDER the bright morning hours, 1 and by the night when it covers, 2 Your Lord (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) has neither forsaken you nor hated you. 3 And verily the Hereafter will be better for thee than the present. 4 Your Lord will give you, and you will be satisfied. 5 Has He not found thee an orphan, and given thee shelter? 6 Did He not find you perplexed, and show you the way? 7 And found you in need, so made you prosperous? 8 So as for the orphan, do not oppress [him]. 9 nor drive away the one who asks. 10 And keep recounting the favours of your Lord. 11
