Thorns (Al-Masad)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)

In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful

Perish the hands of Abu Lahab, and perish he! 1 His substance availed him not, nor that which he earned. 2 Surely, he will be cast into a Flaming Fire 3 and also his wife who carries the fuel, 4 Will have a strap of fibre rope around her neck. 5

God Almighty has spoken the truth.
