Thorns (Al-Masad)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
May both the hands of Abu Lahab be destroyed – and they are destroyed! 1 His wealth will not avail him or that which he gained. 2 Anon he shall roast into Fire having flame. 3 And his wife too, who carries wood (thorns of Sadan which she used to put on the way of the Prophet (Peace be upon him), or use to slander him). 4 In her neck is a twisted rope of Masad (palm fibre). 5
