۞ Gather together those who were unjust and their associates, and what they used to worship 22 "Instead of Allah, and lead them on to the way of flaming Fire (Hell); 23 And stop them, for they shall be questioned: 24 "Why help you not one another?" 25 Nay! on that day they shall be submissive. 26 but [since it will be too late,] they will turn upon one another, demanding of each other [to relieve them of the burden of their past sins]. 27 They will say: "It was ye who used to come to us from the right hand (of power and authority)!" 28 They will say: "No, you were the ones who would not believe. 29 We had no power over you, but ye were wayward folk. 30 So on us hath been justified the sentence of our Lord: verily we are to taste. 31 We mislead you and we ourselves had also gone astray." 32 And verily, on that Day they all will share in their common suffering. 33 This is how We deal with the guilty. 34 When they were told, "There is no deity but God," they turned away with disdain, 35 And to say: What! shall we indeed give up our gods for the sake of a mad poet? 36 'No indeed; but he brought the truth, and confirmed the Envoys. 37 “You surely have to taste the painful punishment.” 38 And you shall not be rewarded except (for) what you did. 39 Except the chosen bondmen of Allah. 40 there is waiting for them a known provision; 41 and fruits while they are honored. 42 in gardens of bliss, 43 On couches, facing one another. 44 a cup filled with wine from its springs, will be passed around to them; 45 delicious to those who drink it 46 Neither they will have Ghoul (any kind of hurt, abdominal pain, headache, a sin, etc.) from that, nor will they suffer intoxication therefrom. 47 and with them wide-eyed maidens restraining their glances 48 Like sheltered eggs in a nest. 49 Then some of them will turn to others, and will ask each other. 50 The speaker among them said, “I had a companion.” – 51 Who used to say: Art thou in truth of those who put faith (in his words)? 52 "'When we die and become dust and bones, shall we indeed receive rewards and punishments?'" 53 Allah will say: will ye look down? 54 Then he will look down and see him in the midst of the Flaming Fire. 55 He will say, "By God! You almost brought me to ruin! 56 “And were it not for the munificence of my Lord, I too would have been seized and brought forth (captive)!” 57 “So are we never to die?” (The people of Paradise will ask the angels, with delight, after the announcement of everlasting life.) 58 "Except our first death, and we shall not be punished? (after we have entered Paradise)." 59 Verily, this - this indeed - is the triumph supreme!" 60 For the like of this let the workers [on earth] work. 61 Is Paradise a better accommodation or the tree of zaqqum? 62 which We have made as a torment for the unjust? 63 It is a tree that grows in the nethermost part of Hell. 64 its spathes are like the heads of satans 65 The dwellers of hell will eat that fruit and fill-up their bellies. 66 Then on top of that they will be given a mixture made of boiling water. 67 And afterward, lo! their return is surely unto hell. 68 They had found their fathers astray, 69 So they hastily follow their footsteps! 70 And truly before them, many of the ancients went astray;- 71 though We had sent warners among them. 72 Then see the nature of the consequence for those warned, 73 But not the chosen servants of Allah. 74
