Hizb 46

And lo! Jonah verily was of those sent (to warn) 139 He abandoned his people 140 cast lots, and was among the losers. 141 Then the big Fish did swallow him, and he had done acts worthy of blame. 142 Had he not been of them who glorify Allah, 143 he would indeed have remained in its belly till the Day when all shall be raised from the dead: 144 ۞ But We cast him forth on the naked shore in a state of sickness, 145 and We caused to grow over him a tree of gourds. 146 Then We sent him unto a hundred thousand, or more, 147 and they believed. So We let them enjoy life for a while. 148 So ask them for a pronouncement -- Has thy Lord daughters, and they sons? 149 Or did We create the angels females while they were witnesses? 150 No indeed! It is one of their fabrications when they say: 151 " Allah has begotten," and indeed, they are liars. 152 Did He choose daughters rather than sons? 153 What ails you then, how you judge? 154 Why do you not reflect? 155 “Or do you have some clear proof?” 156 Then produce your writ, if ye are truthful. 157 They link Him with jinns by lineage, yet the jinns know they will be brought before Him. 158 Glory be to Allah (for freedom) from what they describe; 159 except the servants of God, sincere and devoted. 160 neither you nor what you worship 161 You cannot make anyone rebel against Him. 162 Save him Who is to roast in the Flaming Fire. 163 [The angels say], "Every single one of us has his place assigned: 164 and, verily, we too are ranged [before Him in worship]; 165 Verily, we (angels), we are they who glorify (Allah's Praises i.e. perform prayers). 166 And indeed the disbelievers used to say, 167 "If we had had with us a Book like that of the people of old, 168 "We would have indeed been the chosen slaves of Allah (true believers of Islamic Monotheism)!" 169 But when it came to them, they rejected it. They shall soon come to know (the end of such an attitude). 170 for, long ago has Our word gone forth unto Our servants, the message-bearers, 171 [That] indeed, they would be those given victory 172 and Our armies shall be the victors. 173 So turn thou away from them for a little while, 174 And see them thou; they themselves shall presently see. 175 Do they want to suffer Our torment immediately? 176 But when it descends in their territory, then evil is the morning of those who were warned. 177 So turn (O Muhammad SAW) away from them for a while, 178 and see; soon they shall see! 179 Too glorious is your Lord, the Lord of power, for what they ascribe to Him. 180 So peace be on the messengers, 181 And all praise is to Allah, the Lord Of The Creation. 182
True are the words of God the Almighty.
End of Surah: The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat). Sent down in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
