We built the heavens by Our authority; and We are the Lord of power and expanse. 47 and We cradled the earth. And We are the Best of Cradlers. 48 And all things We have created by pairs, that haply ye may reflect. 49 Therefore fly to Allah, surely I am a plain warner to you from Him. 50 Do not set up another god, along with God. I come from Him to warn you plainly. 51 Similarly, whenever a Noble Messenger came to those before them they always said, “He is a magician or a madman.” 52 Have they handed this down from one to another? No, rather, they are an insolent nation. 53 So leave them, [O Muhammad], for you are not to be blamed. 54 And advise, for advice benefits the Muslims. 55 I created the jinn and humankind only that they might worship Me. 56 I seek no livelihood from them, nor do I ask that they should feed Me. 57 it is God who is the great Sustainer, the Mighty One, the Invincible. 58 The wrongdoers will meet the same fate as their predecessors, let them not ask Me to hasten on [the punishment], 59 woe, then, to those who are bent on denying the truth, when the Day arrives which they have been promised. 60
