▼ 56 The Inevitable
Al-Waaqe'ah 3 of 3
۞ So I swear by Mawaqi (setting or the mansions, etc.) of the stars (they traverse). 75 And verily, that is indeed a great oath, if you but know. 76 that this indeed is a noble Qur'an, 77 (Inscribed) in the well-kept Book. 78 None may touch it, except with ablution. 79 It is a revelation from the Lord of the worlds. 80 Do you then hold this announcement in contempt? 81 And instead (of thanking Allah) for the provision He gives you, on the contrary, you deny Him (by disbelief)! 82 Why, then, when (the soul) cometh up to the throat (of the dying) 83 And ye the while (sit) looking on,- 84 We are closer to him than you, but you cannot see. 85 If you are true to your claim that there is no Day of Judgment, 86 Bring it back, if you should be truthful? 87 Thus, then, if he be of those Nearest to Allah, 88 There will be peace and plenty, and gardens of tranquility for him. 89 And if he is one of the People on the Right, 90 (he will be greeted with): 'Peace be upon you, Companion of the Right' 91 And if he is one of the rejecters, the erring ones, 92 He shall have an entertainment of boiling water, 93 and a roasting in Hell. 94 Lo! this is certain truth. 95 So celebrate with praises the name of thy Lord, the Supreme. 96
