BUT NAY! I call to witness all that you can see, 38 as well as all that you cannot see: 39 Behold, this [Qur'an] is indeed the [inspired] word of a noble apostle, 40 And it is not the word of a poet; little is it that you believe; 41 Nor is it the word of a soothsayer -- how little you reflect! 42 It is a revelation sent down by the Sustainer of the Universe: 43 Now if he [whom We have entrusted with it] had dared to attribute some [of his own] sayings unto Us, 44 We would indeed have seized him by his right hand, 45 and would indeed have cut his life-vein. 46 Then none among you would be his saviour. 47 And surely it is an admonition to the God-fearing. 48 We know that there are some among you who will belie. 49 it will be a source of bitter regret for those who deny the truth -- 50 But verily it is Truth of assured certainty. 51 Exalt the Name of your Lord, the Great. 52
