Therefor warn (men, O Muhammad). By the grace of Allah thou art neither soothsayer nor madman. 29 Or do they say: "[He is but] a poet - let us wait what time will do unto him"? 30 Say: Wait, for surely I too with you am of those who wait. 31 Or do their intellects bid them do this? Or are they an insolent people? 32 Or do they say: "He has fabricated it?" In fact, they will never believe. 33 Let them produce a phrase like it, if what they say is true! 34 Or were they created out of naught? Or are they the creators? 35 Or is it they who created the heavens and the earth? No; the truth is that they lack sure faith. 36 Or are with them the treasures of your Lord? Or are they the tyrants with the authority to do as they like? 37 Or have they a ladder by which they could [ascend to ultimate truths and] listen [to what is beyond the reach of human perception]? Let, then, any of them who have listened [to it] produce a manifest proof [of his knowledge]! 38 Do the daughters belong to Him and the sons to you? 39 Or do you ask them for a reward, so that they are over-burdened by debt? 40 Or that the Unseen in it their hands, and they write it down? 41 Or do they want to entrap [thee in contradictions]? But they who are bent on denying the truth - it is they who are truly entrapped! 42 Or have they a god other than Allah? Glory be to Allah from what they set up (with Him). 43 And if they were to see a fragment of the heaven falling, they would say: A heap of clouds. 44 So leave them till they encounter their Day in which they shall be thunderstruck. 45 The Day their plan will not avail them at all, nor will they be helped. 46 And verily for those who do wrong there is a torment before that; but most of them know not. 47 And be patient upon your Lord’s command, (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), for you are indeed in Our sight; and proclaim the Purity of your Lord while praising Him, whenever you stand. 48 And proclaim His Purity during the night, and when the stars turn back. 49
