[And] Noah continued: "O my Sustainer! Behold, they have opposed me [throughout,] for they follow people whose wealth and children lead them increasingly into ruin, 21 They contrived a plot of great magnitude. 22 And they say: By no means leave your gods, nor leave Wadd, nor Suwa; nor Yaghus, and Yauq and Nasr. 23 "And so they have led many a one astray: hence, ordain Thou that these evildoers stray but farther and farther away [from all that they may desire]!" 24 They were drowned because of their habitual sinfulness, and sent to Hell, and did not find any helper other than God. 25 Noah said: "O Lord, do not leave a single habitation of unbelievers on the earth. 26 "For, if Thou dost leave (any of) them, they will but mislead Thy devotees, and they will breed none but wicked ungrateful ones. 27 My Lord! Forgive me and my parents and him who entereth my house believing, and believing men and believing women, and increase not the wrong-doers in aught save ruin. 28
